План-конспект уроку-змагання на тему: "Sports Competitions"

Мета: проконтролювати ступінь засвоєння знань, сформованості навчальних умінь та навичок учнів з теми «Спорт»; узагальнити граматичний матеріал (утворення і вживання вищого й найвищого ступенів порівняння прикметників); розвивати навички розуміння прочитаного, навички діалогічного та монологічного мовлення, вміння учнів працювати над проектними роботами; сприяти розвитку логічного мислення учнів; виховувати пізнавальний інтерес до вивчення англійської мови, старанність і повагу здин до одного; розширювати кругозір учнів.

Тип уроку: урок-змагання.

Обладнання: плакати з прислів'ями га висловами; картинки з видами спорту; дидактичний матеріал; магнітофон, аудіокасета; результати проектної діяльності: стіннівки, фото-реферати.
ХІД УРОКУ

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іноземного мовлення

1. Привітання. Повідомлення теми й цілей уроку

Т. Good morning, boys and girls! I am very glad to see you. Sit down, please, tell me, please, what day is it today? And what is the date? Right, today is Friday, the 17th of March. You know hat today we'll have the competitions between two teams. You have just studed the topic "SPORT", and now we ire ready for the game. Let's start.

2. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу

1) Т. On the walls of our classroom there are some proverbs and sayings. Can you read and translate : them?

PI. A sound mind in a sound body. — У здоровому тілі — здоровий дух.

Р2. Citius! Altius! Fortius! or Quicker! -Higher! Stronger! — Швидше! Вище! Мильніше!

P3. No pain, no gain! — Хто не ірацює, той не їсть.

P4. Fortune favours the brave. — Де відвага, там і перемога.

Р5. It is above all to take part in, not to win. — Головне — участь, а не перемога.

Р6. If at first you don't succeed, try again. — Вперше не вдалося — спробуй ще раз.

2) Т. Well, we've got two -teams. Tell me, what are the names of your teams? And what are the mottoes of your teams? Who are the leaders of your teams? What is your name?

And yours? Come here shake your hands. I see, you've prepared fine badges. Could you bring them to our referees? Thank you. Take your seats.

Text. A Letter About Sports in England

37. High Street, London, S. E. 9 June 4th 2002

Dear Lena,

I greatly enjoyed your letter in which you told me about sports in your town. I'll try to tell you now about the games we play in England.

First of all, I must tell you that football is played in England in winter, and not in summer. Football is the most popular game in England, because England. Is the home of football. Schools and towns have football teams, and of course the English team is well known in the world.

We do not play ice hockey much in I England, because the winter is not very і cold. But we play field hockey. There are men's teams and women's, and many schools have teams too.

Other games which we play in England are tennis, basket-ball and volleyball. і We have gymnastics every week in our 1 school gymnasium. We run and jump and play basketball, volleyball and other games. In summer we have gymnastics in the playground.

Т. The task is to fill in the crossword and find a key-word in a line. The highest mark is 7. Referees will check your work.

12. Project (захист проектних робіт)

Т. And now the last task is the task for the leaders. They must go to the board and present their project works. As far as I know they want to tell us about Ukrainian and Foreign sports stars. They also can introduce us the best sportsmen of our school.

(Під час вивчення теми «Спорт» учні готували проектні роботи про видатних українських та зарубіжних спортсменів. Також до проектів включені розповіді про найкращих спортсменів школи.)

III. Заключна частина уроку

Т. While referees count your points, let's sing and dance. Stand up, please.

(Журі підраховує кількість балів і визначає переможців. Учні співають і танцюють. Звучить пісня «Clap your hands».)

Т. Children, come to the board. Dear referees, are you ready with the results?

(Журі оголошує результати, вітає переможців і вручає нагороди.)

Т. І congratulate the winners. You won the GOLD medals. As they say, FORTUNE FAVOURS THE BRAVE.

The other team won SILVER medals. Don't forget: IT IS ABOVE ALL TO TAKE PART IN, NOT TO WIN. Dear referees, thank you for your help.

Thank you, pupils, for your participation in our competitions. The winners have got the highest mark— 12. Each pupil of the other team has got — 9.

Мета:

— систематизувати навички діалогічного та монологічного мовлення з тем "Подорож", "Вокзал", "Місто";

— розвивати навички колективної роботи, логічне мислення, навички аудіювання, мовленнєву реакцію; прищеплювати інтерес до вивчення іноземних мов, зокрема англійської;

— розширювати кругозір учнів.
Обладнання: наочність з тем "Подорож", "Вокзал", "Місто", магнітофон.
Хід уроку
Цитата на дошці: Just look at the road, don't worry about where it's going.

1. Фонетична зарядка. "Where do we go ...".

2. Вступ до теми.
T: Look at the quotation. Let's read and translate it. How can you understand

it? Do you like to travel? Shall we continue speaking about trips today? Let's review

vocabulary on this topic.
3. Мовленнєва зарядка.
Подорож, вокзал, за кордоном, їхати кудись, діставатися якомога швидше, літаком, поїздом, на кораблі, пішки, на машині, мати переваги, найшвидший спосіб подорожі, пасажирські поїзди, вагон-ресторан, спізнитися на поїзд, зупинитися за бажанням, у відрядження, заради задоволення, сісти на поїзд.
4. Колективна робота.

5. Рольова гра "Інтерв'ю".
Very nice, thank you. I know that Sergey has traveled a lot, haven't you, Sergey? Let's ask him questions about his traveling. Come here and sit down, please. All of you will be reporters. You should make reports to the newspaper about his journey.

6. Конкурс на крашу статтю про подорож (домашнє завдання).

Now, some of you will summerize the story about Sergey's trip. At home you have to write an article about Sergey's journey.
7. Практика монологічного мовлення.
While they are preparing their article, we shall speak on "How to make a trip". Recollect the topics you have learned (p. 59) and the topic in your vocabularies.

Gleb, your task is traveling by trains; Sasha, traveling by car; Alesha, you will tell us how to make a trip.

10. Підсумки уроку.

На сьогоднішньому уроці ми підбили підсумки вивчення теми "Подорож".

T: А тепер невеличка фонетична розминка. Спочатку ви уважно прослуховуєте слова, які промовляє диктор, а потім повторюєте ці слова за диктором.

Слова: shop, restaurant, tower, door, train, house, street, building, car, bus, bicycle, railway station, office, school, hotel, traffic.

T: Dear children, today we’ll go to the treasure. Our task is to find the treasure. You can see a large box on the chair. We have to do a lot of exercises for finding the treasure. After each exercises the way to the treasure well be shorter. If we’ll do all exercises we’ll find the treasure.

Наш похід за скарбами буде не простий, але якщо ви згадаєте все, що ми з вами вивчили, ми обов’язково знайдемо скарб. Після кожної вірно зробленої вправи, обгортка з великої коробки буде зніматися. Коли ми виконаємо всі завдання, ми побачимо, що знаходиться на дні великої магічної коробки.

Декілька уроків тому учні вивчали діалоги по темі, з допомогою карток вони повинні відтворити ці діалоги. На кожній картці подана конкретна ситуація.

Situation 3: Could you tell me the way to the toyshop?

Situation 4: Is this the right way to the bookshop?

Situation 5: How to get to the market?

Situation 6: What’s the best way …?

Situation 7: Can you tell me where is the police station?

Task V.
Act the drama: “What should we do?”

Учні діляться на групи по три чоловіки і отримують тексти діалогу. Завдання – розіграти один і той же діалог.
Task VI.

To find the place:

Спочатку потрібно повторити наступні словосполучення:

to the left (right)	6. go along
on the left (right)	7. go straight ahead
on the corner	8. turn left (right)
at the corner	9. take the 1^st (2^nd) turning
at the end of the street

Учні діляться на два варіанти А і В. Кожен варіант отримує свою картку-схему. Є два варіанти роботи з такою карткою-схемою.

Варіант перший: учні варіанту А задають запитання Where is the …? учням варіанту В. Учні варіанту В, дивлячись на свою картку-схему дають інструкцію як знайти потрібне місце. І так по черзі.

Варіант другий: Учитель зачитує інструкції до кожного місця, а учні знаходять це місце у себе на схемі.
Task VII.

Match each notice with a place.

Учні отримують картки, в яких повинні кожному напису знайти відповідне місце у переліку.
Teacher: Are you tired? I think you are very tired because you have done a lit of tasks. You showed, your good knowledge. And now let’s look at our treasure. Wait a minute… We have found our treasure.

Teacher: Ось і закінчився наш урок, наша подорож за скарбом. На сьогоднішньому уроці ми підвели підсумки роботи по темі “Asking the way.” Я б хотіла, щоб у потрібний момент ви змогли б використати знання, отримані на наших уроках.
